Lead Support Worker

Swindon, Wiltshire

Permanent, part time (22.5 hpw), working Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, pattern to be discussed

Pay £13.21 per hour (£25,838 per annum) [pro rata] and great benefits including Health Cash Plan

As our Lead Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of supporting customers with complex needs to develop their skills for independent living. Typical day as a Lead Support Worker (known as Coordinator)

  1. Creating support plans with customers and coordinating a small team of Support Workers to implement these plans.
  2. Providing mental health support.
  3. Helping customers with daily activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining tenancy, and moving to independent accommodation if able.
  4. Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and reviews.
  5. Building rapport through chats, catch-ups, and collaborative teamwork.

You bring

  • Passion to support customers to live their best lives, working collaboratively with attention to detail.
  • Experience in creating person-centred support plans and supporting colleagues to implement them.
  • Experience in coordinating and assessing customer referrals.
  • The ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and be resilient.

You’ll join Debbie, Senior Client Service Manager, Becki, Client Service Manager, and our passionate team dedicated to supporting mental health customers. We’re proud of our support and positive outcomes for customers and foster a supportive environment for colleagues.

Job details

  • Working 22.5 hpw between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Pattern to be discussed.
  • Flexibility required to meet customer needs, including occasional adjustments to start or finish times.
  • Proficiency in using technology for support plans, online learning, and collaboration.
  • An Enhanced DBS check is required, which we will pay for.
