We’re hiring for Lead Support Workers in Devizes

Could you help someone to live a full life?

Join Brandon as a Lead Support Worker, providing excellent day-to-day support to individuals with complex needs, helping them overcome barriers. Respecting people’s preferences and choices, you’ll enable their fullest participation in the community as valued citizens.

As part of a supportive team, you’ll need resilience to support individuals whose behavior may be challenging. Your support will be centered around each person’s values, preferences, and needs, including developing daily living skills, community access, personal care, and medication management.

You will need a full UK manual driving licence for this role.

You will:

  • Be a confident problem solver and creative thinker with good communication skills
  • Resilient to overcome challenges
  • Innovative and willing to try new activities
  • Experience working with people with learning disabilities and challenging behavior is desirable
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Previous management experience is desirable but not essential
  • Diploma in health and social care Level 2 or equivalent; Level 3 is desirable
  • Hold a full UK driving licence

Your responsibilities:

  • Support individuals in all aspects of daily life, promoting community participation
  • Help people achieve their personal goals
  • Lead responsibility in areas such as autism, personality disorder, speech and language, positive behavior management, psychiatry, or health
  • Coordinate with external professionals, support plans, and risk assessments in your lead area
  • Share specialist knowledge with colleagues to provide cohesive support
  • Potentially line manage support workers in the future
