Qualifications

Lead Support Worker

Compensation: £13.57 - £14.76 / hour


Description

We are currently looking for full-time (37.5 hours a week) Lead Support Workers to support adults with learning disabilities and autism.


Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Support Worker, you will assist the Locality Manager by working on shifts to provide day-to-day support to the staff team. Your role will include supporting staff through supervisions, positive role modelling, team meetings, observations, and providing consistent support on a 1:1 basis.

In addition to supporting your team and manager, a major part of your role is to understand the needs of the people you support, which may include providing emotional and practical support to enable them to live their lives their way.


Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or Autism.
  • A commitment to empowering people.
  • Ability to work closely with families and outside agencies.
  • Ability to take responsibility and remain calm in difficult situations.
  • Willingness to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
  • Must have a full UK Manual driving license.
