Job summary
Babcock Rosyth site is seeking a Production Supervisor Structures to lead skilled teams in complex structural fabrication and welding for national defence programmes. You’ll own operational performance, champion safety, and develop the next generation of production professionals.
You’ll translate priorities into production plans, coordinate resources, and drive safety, quality, cost and schedule. This role is on-site, 36 hours weekly, with strong opportunities to influence operational excellence
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading teams in production/manufacturing/shipbuilding/heavy engineering.
- Extensive experience in structural steel fabrication and welding.
- Demonstrable success delivering safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation and production specs.
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management and people development.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily structural production activities to meet contractual commitments and objectives.
- Monitor performance against safety, quality, cost and schedule targets; implement recovery plans as needed.
- Coordinate people, materials, equipment and resources to maximise productivity.
- Champion a proactive safety culture and ensure health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Develop team capability through coaching, engagement, performance management and workforce planning.
