Ansible Motion in Snetterton seeks a Lead Engineer - Structures to steer the STRC team and deliver high‑quality structural solutions for automotive simulator projects. You will provide technical leadership, manage workload and collaborate across departments to meet safety, performance and quality standards.

You will lead structural analysis of simulator subsystems, develop load cases, sign off reports and drive design reviews while mentoring engineers and promoting continuous improvement.

Formación

• Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Substantial structural analysis experience with problem solving and project delivery.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks FEA tools.
• Experience leading or managing an engineering team, including workload planning.
• Experience coordinating engineering activities and resources to meet delivery timescales.
• Strong communication, organisational, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the structural analysis of simulator subsystems, including cabins, access systems and motion stages.
• Lead assigned structural analysis projects and workstreams from concept through delivery.
• Develop load cases and use them in analysis of the simulator.
• Analyse, optimise and advise on strength, stiffness and mass of components.
• Formally report results of analysis runs and sign off reports.
• Lead design reviews and contribute to component/material optimisation.
• Develop and maintain STRC methodologies, documentation and processes.
• Work with external CAE suppliers and develop team skills to bring work in-house.
