Job summary

Ansible Motion in Snetterton, UK, seeks a Lead Engineer – Structures to direct the STRC team and deliver structural activities for simulator systems. You will lead the hands-on analysis, allocate work, and guide technical decisions to meet safety, performance and quality requirements.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration across disciplines and extensive experience with CAE tools and structural design for high-performance engineering programs.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Substantial structural analysis experience with problem-solving and project delivery.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks FEA tools.
• Experience leading or managing an engineering team and workload planning.
• Experience coordinating activities to meet delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural analysis of simulator subsystems (cabins, access systems, motion stages).
• Manage projects from concept through delivery, ensuring quality and timelines.
• Develop load cases for simulator analysis with cross-group collaboration.
• Advise on strength, stiffness and mass of components and optimise design.
• Lead design reviews and document analysis results with sign-off.
• Coordinate external CAE suppliers and mentor team to bring work in-house.
