Job summary

Mackenzie Construction is seeking a Site Supervisor (Foreman) for our Structural Refurbishment division, overseeing on-site structural repair and refurbishment works across Midlands projects. You will lead a specialist team, ensure work is performed to drawings, standards and client requirements, and coordinate safety, quality and progress.

You will bring hands-on experience in structural repair/refurbishment, read drawings, and lead operatives while maintaining high safety and quality

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in construction environments.
• Experience with structural repair/refurbishment activities.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and manufacturer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for day-to-day supervision and coordination of structural repair and refurbishment works, ensuring activities are delivered safely, efficiently, to the required quality and in accordance with the programme.
• Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are understood and adhered to, including Risk Assessments, Method Statements and COSHH assessments; deliver daily briefings and toolbox talks.
• Allocate and coordinate labour, plant, materials and equipment to ensure the site team is resourced and works are carried out efficiently.
• Supervise concrete repair, crack and joint repairs, resin injection, waterproofing and protective coatings in line with project specs.
• Monitor workmanship and quality, identify defects and ensure corrective action and proper records are completed.
• Monitor progress against the programme and report delays or issues to the Site Manager.
• Maintain effective communication with the Site Manager, subcontractors, suppliers and client representatives.
• Ensure plant, equipment, tools and materials are managed safely and maintained.
• Maintain good housekeeping and site standards, assist with inspections and client visits as required.
• Maintain accurate site records including diaries, labour and progress information.
