Job summary

Dragados UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced structural engineer specializing in steelwork design, detailing, fabrication and installation to support the WP2800 package. You will review calculations, coordinate designers and fabricators, and oversee fabrication and erection through to handover, ensuring safe, buildable and compliant solutions.

You will engage with site teams, maintain safety and quality controls, and contribute to design optimisation, value engineering and project

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Eng with substantial steelwork design experience.
• Chartered or Incorporated (CEng/IEng) membership preferred; professional body involvement encouraged.
• CSCS Card required or beneficial; experience with major infra projects is expected.

Responsibilities

• Review structural calculations, drawings and fabrication details for compliance with standards and HS2 requirements.
• Coordinate steelwork designers, fabricators, erection subcontractors and site teams; resolve RFIs and design clashes.
• Provide oversight of fabrication, welding, bolting, tolerances and NDT; ensure safety and quality records.
