Job summary

Ross-Shire Engineering Limited is seeking a Structural Engineer to join the in-house Design team on a permanent basis. You will lead on all aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include liaising with clients, producing designs, compiling specifications and reports, and delivering on time. A degree in engineering and experience with structural steelwork and FE analysis are required, with driving licence and IT

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience of structural steelwork, connection design and detailing.
• Working knowledge of design codes and standards preferably relating to structural engineering such as British Standards and Eurocodes.
• Analyses of structures for stress and deflection using both hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis.
• Knowledge of piping systems would be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of IT packages and systems.
• The ability to work under pressure quickly and accurately with attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communications skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Client and stakeholders across the business.
• Produce preliminary and detailed designs.
• Compile design specifications.
• Compile reports and communicate design data to the client and others.
• Comply with company quality assurance procedures.
• Complete required deliverables within allocated project time scales
