Job summary

The WestDill Mayfair Hotel London, Colbert Collection, part of Minor Hotels Europe & Americas, is seeking an experienced Lead Steward. You will supervise the stewarding team, ensure cleanliness of back-of-house areas, and uphold hygiene and health & safety standards in a fast-paced setting.

Key duties include coordinating daily stewarding activities, managing stores and waste, and collaborating with Culinary and F&B teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Stewarding role, ideally with supervisory responsibilities.
• Good knowledge of hygiene, food safety, and health & safety standards.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, reliable, and team-oriented approach.
• Willingness to lead by example and support team development.
• Fluency in English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate the daily activities of the Stewarding team.
• Ensure cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Monitor cleaning schedules and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain stewarding stores, operating equipment, and waste management processes.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and health & safety standards.
• Work closely with Culinary and Food & Beverage teams to support smooth operations.
• Assist with training and guiding team members where required.
