Job summary

Digital Waffle is seeking an experienced SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS Lead Data Engineer to guide a small team through a migration to Azure Fabric. The role combines hands-on data engineering with technical leadership in a friendly, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will manage SSIS pipelines and SSRS reports, support Power BI insights, and drive best practices across the data platform. This hybrid position requires two days per week in our West Yorkshire office.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a data engineering team.
• Proven ability to manage SSIS pipelines and SSRS reports.
• Experience with Azure Fabric migration is a plus.

We are looking to recruit an experience SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS Lead Data Engineer. In addition to being a an accomplished data engineer you will need to show experience of leading a small team of data engineers. Experience with Power BI and / or Fabric would be an advantage but not essential. this will be an opportunity to gain experience with both.

Our client is in the process of migrating to Azure Fabric. We need a data engineer with the experience to lead a team of data engineers working on the migration to Azure Fabric. There remains a substantial legacy of SSRS reports and SSIS Pipeline to be maintained and migrated.

This is a hybrid role working 2 days per week in our clients West Yorkshire office.

You will act as a technical lead and team leader in a friendly and open team.
