Job summary

JN Bentley, a leading civil engineering and construction organisation, is seeking a Lead SQL Developer in Leeds. You will design, build and optimise SQL solutions, lead a team of developers, and drive data-driven decisions by integrating internal and third-party systems.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience in SQL development or related roles.
• Experience leading a team of developers.
• Strong MS SQL Server experience and T-SQL.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
• Experience using Git for source control.
• Experience developing or supporting Python-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into database and integration solutions.
• Design, develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, scripts and database objects.
• Build and support integrations between internal and third-party systems.
• Integrate, transform and validate data for reporting and operational processes.
• Investigate and resolve data, reporting, performance and integration issues.
• Document data flows and technical changes.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts and stakeholders to deliver effective data solutions.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of SQL Developers, setting clear objectives and supporting performance and development through check-in conversations.
