Job summary

York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to manage a varied caseload across inpatient, community and outpatient settings at Scarborough Hospital. You will assess and treat communication and swallowing disorders, including dysphagia, with a weekly videofluoroscopy service.

Role requires transport across locality, in-person interviews, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to develop high-quality patient care and

Qualifications

• HCPC registration and evidence of CPD activities.
• Postgraduate training in specialist areas (e.g., dysphagia, AAC).
• Ability to lead and supervise others within a clinical team.
• Experience in audit/research related to speech and language therapy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver highly specialist assessment and therapy across sites.
• Embed best practice; audit quality of care and implement improvements.
• Support capacity monitoring and lead quality improvement projects.
• Participate in student education and regional professional networks.
