Job summary

The York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s Scarborough Hospital is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join the Adult Speech and Language Therapy Team. You will work with adults with complex dysphagia and communication impairments across inpatient wards, outpatients, community and home visits, delivering assessment, differential diagnosis and management.

You will be part of a team delivering specialist input, with opportunities to lead quality

Qualifications

• Registered Speech and Language Therapist with current practitioner status.

Responsibilities

• Hold a clinical workload across sites and settings, delivering specialist assessment and therapy for dysphagia and communication impairments.
• Embed best practice across the team and support colleagues to develop their clinical skills.
• Audit quality of care and review research and innovations in the clinical care of the client group.
• Support the Team Manager and Senior Operational Manager in monitoring service capacity and delivery.
• Be part of the leadership team of Advanced Clinical Specialists supporting quality improvement projects.
• Support student education placements and participate in local/regional professional networks.
