Job summary

NELFT NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist (Adult Learning Disabilities) in London to lead SLT services within the community LD team. You will assess and manage care for adults with learning disabilities and communicate findings across multidisciplinary teams.

The role involves coordinating workload, supervising staff, and contributing to audits, with an emphasis on patient-centered care and adherence to Trust protocols.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist with current registration.
• Experience with adults with learning disabilities and communication/eating/swallowing difficulties.
• Ability to lead and supervise within a community LD team.

Responsibilities

• Lead role in transition work with young people with learning difficulties.
• Assess, develop and implement SLT treatment for adults with learning disabilities across Redbridge in community domiciliary settings.
• Organise and prioritise workload for self and team.
• Maintain accurate records for audits.
• Contribute to risk management and coordinate case work across health and social care disciplines.
• Adhere to Trust protocols and moving and handling procedures.
