Job summary

NHS Tayside is recruiting an experienced Speech and Language Therapist with advanced knowledge of the dysphagia and communication difficulties associated with an acute and critical care caseload. Experience with tracheostomy care, instrumental dysphagia assessment and complex communication assessment and management is required.

The role includes team lead responsibility for the SLTs providing acute care within Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.

Qualifications

• Experience with dysphagia in acute/critical care settings.
• Ability to lead and supervise SLT staff and students.
• Experience with auditing, service development and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SLT team delivering acute care within Ninewells Hospital.
• Provide education and training to staff and students.
• Collaborate with the wider SLT team on audit and service development.
