Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join the Adult Acquired SLT Service at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. The role focuses on complex dysphagia and communication difficulties in acute and critical care, with leadership responsibilities for the SLT team.

HCPC registration is essential, and the post includes education duties and clinical supervision to support staff wellbeing and service development across Tayside.

Qualifications

• Experienced SLT with advanced knowledge of dysphagia and communication difficulties in acute/critical care.
• Educate and train staff and students, including SLTs, AHPs, nursing and medical staff.
• Must be HCPC registered and eligible to practice in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SLT team providing acute care at Ninewells Hospital.
• Collaborate with the wider SLT team on audit, service development, QI and strategic involvement.
• Provide peer support, clinical supervision, appraisal and professional development.
