Job summary

Arch Resourcing Ltd seeks an experienced Registered Manager to open and lead a new specialist solo children’s home in Nottingham, supporting a young person with High Risk & Crisis Placements. The home will operate with one child at a time and staffing up to 3:1, delivering consistent, safe, and individualized care.

You will be supported by a Responsible Individual and a hands-on Director team, focusing on the child, the team, and the quality of care.

Qualifications

• Current or previous experience as a Registered Manager in a children's home.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.
• Experience managing high-risk or crisis placements and safeguarding needs.
• Experience with solo or high-acuity placements.
• Level 5 Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Open and lead a brand-new specialist solo children's home in Nottingham.
• Build and lead the care team with staffing of up to 3:1.
• Shape culture and standards from day one with a focus on quality of care.
• Ensure safeguarding and risk management meet high standards.

Registered Manager - Specialist Solo Children's Home

Nottingham | £65,000+ | Permanent

This isn't a standard Registered Manager role - and it isn't a standard children's home.

We're looking for an experienced Registered Manager to open and lead a new specialist solo children's home in Nottingham, supporting young people requiring High Risk & Crisis Placements.

The home will support one child at a time, with staffing of up to 3:1, providing the consistency, safety and individual care that some of the most vulnerable young people need.

What's different about this opportunity?

Firstly, you won't be doing it alone.

There's already a highly experienced Responsible Individual (RI) in place and a hands-on Director team who understand the complexity of these placements.

They want their Registered Manager focused on what matters: the child, the team and the quality of care within the home - not feeling as though the entire organisation sits on their shoulders.

The organisation is growing, but its philosophy is simple: children first.

Who are we looking for?

This one needs experience.

You'll already be an established Registered Manager within Children's Residential Care, ideally with direct experience of solo placements, high-risk or crisis placements, complex EBD/SEMH and significant safeguarding needs.

You'll understand what it takes to support young people where previous placements may have broken down and where stability, consistency and excellent risk management are critical.

You’ll need:

• Current or previous experience as a Registered Manager in a children's home
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted, Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
• A track record of achieving positive Ofsted outcomes
• Experience supporting children with complex needs, EBD/SEMH and high safeguarding risks
• Experience of solo or high-acuity placements
• Level 5 Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
• A full UK driving licence
