Job summary

Buzzworks Holdings is seeking a Sous Chef to join our high‑volume kitchen across Scotland. You’ll lead from the pass, drive standards, and coach chefs to deliver consistency, pace and great presentation during service.

You’ll work hands‑on in a fast-paced environment, mentor team members, manage GP and labour, and contribute to strong commercial performance while building a positive team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Commercial awareness and ability to manage margins and GP.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead the kitchen team to deliver exceptional standards during service.
• Drive food quality, presentation and consistency.
• Assist in managing GP, stock control and labour performance.
• Support rota planning and daily kitchen organisation.
• Mentor and develop chefs at every level.
• Run service and daily briefings in Head Chef’s absence.
• Maintain a safe, compliant and well‑structured kitchen.
• Build strong communication between BOH and FOH teams.
