The Beefy Boys in Cardiff is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to support our Head Chef and help drive the next chapter of our burger empire. You’ll lead with energy, keep the kitchen safe and spotless, and ensure every plate meets our high standards.

In a fast-paced environment, you’ll mentor the team, manage stock and suppliers, and push for excellence in every dish. If you stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and love crafting burger magic, you’re the right hand we’re after.

Qualifications

• Step into the Head Chef’s shoes when they’re off-duty and run the kitchen safely and to high standards.
• Recruit, onboard, develop, inspire and lead from the front.
• Deliver 10/10 quality in every dish and maintain top presentation.
• Fix problems, manage wait times, and keep customers smiling.
• Stay on top of ingredients, stock levels and supplier contacts.
• Mentor the team with constructive feedback and hands-on coaching.
• Work fast, stay calm under pressure and maintain attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Take reins in Head Chef's absence and run the kitchen to high standards.
• Ensure every dish is cooked to perfection and safely prepared.
• Lead, train and develop kitchen staff for consistent results.
• Maintain stock levels, coordinate with suppliers and controls.
• Keep throughput steady while preserving quality under pressure.
