Job summary

The Placement Group is seeking a mid-senior Solution Engineer in the UK to join our enterprise sales engineering team. You will run bespoke product demonstrations, respond to technical questions, and collaborate with sales, product, and customer service to move deals forward.

You have native English, 5+ years in ITIL/ITSM or SaaS settings, cloud experience, and proven ability to communicate with CxOs. You thrive in high-energy environments and are skilled at translating customer requirements

Qualifications

• Native-level English written and spoken is required; additional European languages are an advantage.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar technical solution engineering role, preferably in the ITIL/ITSM domain or in the SaaS or software product environment.
• Experience in a SaaS or technology product organization, with ITSM/ITIL methodologies and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Excellent senior customer stakeholder communication skills, including with CxOs, as well as strong internal communication skills.
• Experience working on complex sales cycles in mid-market and enterprise business segments.
• Excellent communication and listening skills, high-level presentation and demonstration skills.
• A customer- and solution-oriented mindset, with enthusiasm for helping and serving clients.
• A highly driven, execution-focused approach with a strong sense of urgency.
• Enjoyment of working in a high-energy team environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with regional sales teams to convert prospects into customers.
• Prepare and deliver bespoke technical product demonstrations at client meetings, webinars, and customer events.
• Deliver product messaging through whiteboard and slide presentations, proof of concept management, and RFP response documents.
• Respond to functional and technical customer questions and requirements.
• Perform complex workflow analysis and in-depth examinations of interactions between our product and the customers infrastructure.
• Collect, assess, and convey customer requirements to central product management.
• Advocate for our brand and actively promote our product solutions and services to prospects, potential and existing customers, and partners.
• Collaborate with internal teams including sales, product management, and client services to execute sales strategy.
• Train sales teams on our product suite, technical aspects, and new product features.
