Responsibilities

  • Support IT Leadership Team and collaborate with the European IT Director to transform IT and deliver quality services across Europe.
  • Own strategy, design, and deployment of tech solutions for IT systems across European businesses; focus on simplification, standardisation, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure capacity and availability of IT systems to support core business functions.
  • Provide specialist 3rd line support when required.
  • Define and measure KPIs to drive continuous improvement of IT services and processes.
  • Educate and develop 1st/2nd line support teams.
  • Support design, build, and deployment of core IT systems, networks, and cyber security.
  • Review and enhance delivery of student learning through IT.
  • Identify and design solutions to improve operations and solve business problems.
  • Support IT projects as directed by the European IT Director.
  • Audit and review core systems for technical integrity and operating efficiency.

Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year

  • We define, measure, and record service KPIs to identify areas for development and drive continuous improvement of IT services, processes, and support.
  • We facilitate the education and development of 1st and 2nd line support teams.
  • We support the design, build, and deployment of core IT systems and services, including platforms, networks, and cyber security.
  • We review, develop, and enhance the delivery of first-class student learning through IT.
  • We identify and design solutions to enhance operations and solve business problems.
  • We support IT teams in activities that lead to the successful implementation of new solutions.
  • We direct the maintenance, monitoring, and backup/restore of European IT services.
  • We facilitate the provision of 3rd line support to Europe IT services, escalating to Group IT as required.
  • We manage major service incidents and problems through to resolution as directed.
  • We act as ITIL process owner for Capacity and Performance, Availability, and IT Service Continuity.
  • We provide technical escalation support and assist colleagues in troubleshooting faults.
  • We support, guide, and manage IT projects as directed by the European IT Director.
  • We audit and review the technical integrity of core systems and services.
  • We review operating efficiencies to support and accommodate business growth.
  • We define, document, and disseminate IT procedures and standards.
  • We manage and maintain a knowledge base for core systems and services.
  • We perform any other reasonably requested duties.

We are seeking an EU IT Solution Manager to join our IT Leadership Team, working closely with the European IT Director to support the transformation of our IT department. This is a permanent, full-time role based in London with some remote working possible, offering a salary of 55,000 to 60,000 and hybrid working between home and our IT Support Office, with occasional travel to our London office and other schools or business locations. The position will be hybrid/remote with meetings in Central London.
