Solar PV Design Engineer X2 - Home based - Operator

Due to rapid growth in the energy sector, we have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Solar PV Technical Design Engineer.

This role is ideal for an experienced professional looking to advance their career and contribute significantly to one of the world’s leading energy suppliers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading design tasks such as shading analysis, 3D modelling, electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection diagrams, using AutoCAD.
• Performing computer simulations of solar PV system performance to optimize energy production.
• Reviewing and approving solar PV designs and recommending improvements for efficiency, quality, or performance.

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of experience in Solar PV design.
• Proven engineering and design skills with experience across various PV schemes, including rooftop and ground mount systems.
• Strong familiarity with PV manufacturers and components.
• Experience in detailed design aspects like wiring, containment, as-built drawings, scaffolding, and fall arrest/work restraint systems.
• Proficiency with software tools such as MS Office, AutoCAD, PV*SOL/PVSyst, and other modelling software, with willingness to learn new tools.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation regarding HSSE, construction, and services installation.
• Formal training and understanding of CDM responsibilities.
