Solar PV Design Engineer X2 - Home based - Operator

Due to rapid growth in the energy sector, we have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Solar PV Technical Design Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take the next step in their career and make a significant impact on one of the world’s foremost energy suppliers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading on designs including shading analysis, 3D modelling, electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection diagrams using AutoCAD software.
• Performing computer simulation of solar PV generation system performance or energy production to optimise efficiency.
• Reviewing and approving solar PV designs and recommending technical design or process changes to improve efficiency, quality, or performance.

What we need from you:

• 7-10 years of experience in Solar PV design.
• Engineering/design skills with a proven track record on various PV schemes, both rooftop and ground mount.
• Strong familiarity with PV manufacturers and components.
• Detailed design experience in wiring, containment, as-built drawings, scaffolding, and fall arrest/work restraint.
• Working knowledge of software tools such as MS Office, AutoCAD, PV*SOL/PVSyst, and modelling software, with willingness to learn new tools.
• Substantial knowledge of relevant legislation regarding HSSE, construction, and services installation.
• Formal training and thorough understanding of CDM responsibilities.
