Solar PV Design Engineer X2 - Home based - Operator

Due to rapid growth in the energy sector, we have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Solar PV Technical Design Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to advance their career and contribute significantly to one of the world’s leading energy suppliers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading on designs including shading analysis, 3D modelling, electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection diagrams, using AutoCAD software.
• Performing computer simulations of solar PV generation system performance or energy production to optimize efficiency.
• Reviewing and approving solar PV designs and recommending technical or process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, or performance.

What we need from you:

• 7-10 years of experience in Solar PV design.
• Engineering/design skills with a proven track record on various PV schemes, both rooftop and ground mount.
• Strong familiarity with PV manufacturers and components.
• Detailed design experience in wiring, containment, as-built drawings, scaffolding, and fall arrest/work restraint.
• Working knowledge of standard and advanced PC software tools (MS Office, AutoCAD, PV*SOL/PVSyst, modeling software, etc.) and willingness to learn new tools.
• Substantial knowledge of relevant legislation regarding HSSE, construction, and services installation.
• Thorough understanding and formal training in CDM responsibilities.
