Solar PV Design Engineer X2 - Home based - Operator

Due to rapid growth in the energy sector, we have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Solar PV Technical Design Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take the next step in their career and make a significant impact for one of the world’s leading energy suppliers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Taking the lead on designs including shading analysis, 3D modelling, electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection diagrams, using AutoCAD software.
• Performing computer simulations of solar PV generation system performance or energy production to optimize efficiency.
• Reviewing and approving solar PV designs and recommending technical design or process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, or performance.

What we need from you:

• 7 - 10 years of experience in Solar PV design.
• Engineering/design skills with a proven track record on various PV schemes, including rooftop and ground mount systems.
• Strong familiarity with PV manufacturers and components.
• Detailed design experience in wiring, containment, as-built drawings, scaffolding, and fall arrest/work restraint.
• Proficiency with software tools such as MS Office, AutoCAD, PV*SOL/PVSyst, and other modelling software, with willingness to learn new tools.
• Substantial knowledge of relevant legislation concerning HSSE, construction, and services installation.
• Formal training and thorough understanding of CDM responsibilities.
