Solar PV Design Engineer X2 - Home based - Operator

Due to rapid growth in the energy sector, we have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Solar PV Technical Design Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to advance their career and contribute significantly to one of the world’s leading energy suppliers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading design tasks such as shading analysis, 3D modelling, electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection diagrams using AutoCAD.
• Performing computer simulations of solar PV systems to optimize energy production and efficiency.
• Reviewing and approving solar PV designs, and recommending technical or process improvements.

What we need from you:

• 7-10 years of experience in Solar PV design.
• Engineering/design skills with proven experience in various PV schemes, including rooftop and ground mount.
• Familiarity with PV manufacturers and components.
• Experience in detailed design aspects such as wiring, containment, as-built drawings, scaffolding, and fall arrest.
• Proficiency with software tools like MS Office, AutoCAD, PV*SOL/PVSyst, and willingness to learn new tools.
• Knowledge of relevant HSSE, construction, and services installation legislation.
• Understanding and training in CDM responsibilities.
