Job summary

Accelerated People Management is seeking an experienced Lead Solar Electrician to join our rapidly growing renewable energy team in Manchester. You will lead electrical installations across Solar PV, Battery Storage and Air Source Heat Pump projects, with a company vehicle and ongoing training to support progression into supervisory roles.

The role requires hands-on installation experience, NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation and 18th Edition, and the ability to take ownership of projects while

Qualifications

• Proven electrical installation experience with Solar PV and Battery Storage
• Experience with Air Source Heat Pump wiring
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation and 18th Edition qualifications
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to work independently with progression into supervision

Responsibilities

• Leading electrical installations across Solar PV, Battery Storage and Air Source Heat Pump projects
• Carrying out inverter connections, battery installations, heat pump wiring and associated electrical works
• Electrical testing, fault finding and commissioning to meet required standards
• Taking ownership of installations and supporting other engineers as the team grows

As a Lead Solar Electrician, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading electrical installations across Solar PV, Battery Storage and Air Source Heat Pump projects
• Carrying out inverter connections, battery installations, heat pump wiring and associated electrical works
• Completing electrical testing, fault finding and commissioning to ensure installations meet the required standards
• Taking ownership of installations, maintaining high-quality workmanship and supporting other engineers as the team expands

The successful Lead Solar Electrician should have:

• Proven electrical installation experience with strong hands‑on knowledge of Solar PV and Battery Storage systems
• Experience with Air Source Heat Pump wiring and associated electrical installations desirable
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation and 18th Edition, with relevant testing and inspection qualifications advantageous
• Strong technical knowledge, the ability to work independently and the ambition to progress into a supervisory position
