Job summary

DOMO TACTICAL COMMUNICATIONS, part of Codan Group, seeks a Software Test Team Lead to drive testing excellence for embedded and mission-critical software. You will mentor engineers, plan testing across releases, and collaborate with software and systems teams to ensure quality, reliability, and timely delivery.

Experience in defence or critical systems is valued, with hands-on leadership, test planning, and strong communication to stakeholders across Europe.

Qualifications

• Must have significant experience leading software test teams in demanding environments.
• Ability to plan, coordinate and execute testing across features and releases.
• Strong knowledge of test design, exploratory, regression, integration and acceptance testing.
• Proven experience creating and maintaining test plans, cases, scripts, reports, and release assessments.
• Experience across full SDLC with test management, defect tracking, source control and CI/CD.
• Excellent communication of quality status, risks, and readiness to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor testers and foster a disciplined, quality-focused team culture.
• High attention to detail and commitment to reliable, maintainable products.
• Desirable: CE/FCC knowledge and ISTQB-type certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and mentor a team of software test engineers across priorities and releases.
• Own planning, coordination, and execution of testing activities for features and products.
• Define and maintain test strategies, plans, and environments aligned with requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, operations, and stakeholders on risks and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure coverage across functional, integration, performance, security, and system tests.
• Promote automated testing, test tooling, and CI/CD integration; manage defects and reporting.
• Review requirements, designs and release plans to identify risks and defects early.
• Provide visibility of test progress, quality trends, and release readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and tooling.
