Job summary

DTC, a Codan Company, is seeking a Software Engineering Team Lead to guide a team of engineers in delivering SDR software. This hands-on leadership role combines technical direction with delivery ownership, mentoring, and close collaboration with product, operations, and business stakeholders.

The successful candidate will mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, ensure code quality, maintainability, and secure software practices across the full software development lifecycle for

Qualifications

• Embedded environments experience and strong software engineering background.
• Experience leading technical delivery within a software team.
• Knowledge of modern software practices: design, testing, CI/CD, source control, code review, secure development.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers.
• Own delivery of features and initiatives from planning to release.
• Provide technical direction: design decisions, architecture, standards.
• Collaborate with product, operations, QA, DevOps and stakeholders.
• Break down work into tasks with estimates and acceptance criteria.
• Contribute hands-on development as needed (design, coding, testing).
• Review code and designs for quality, security, performance.
• Identify risks and remove delivery blockers.
• Promote agile practices and transparent progress reporting.
• Ensure solutions meet business needs and engineering standards.
