As a Platform Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Platform SDLC team, you will be central to designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions for software development processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, develop custom workflows, and build utility tools to improve productivity and efficiency. Your focus will include building secure SDLC pipelines, performing vulnerability scanning, ensuring artifact integrity, and developing an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) with golden paths and developer self-service capabilities.

Job responsibilities

1. Designing and Implementing Automation Workflows: Collaborate with software development teams to analyze workflows and create automation using GitHub Actions, including infrastructure as code pipelines.
2. Developing GoLang Utilities: Create efficient utility tools, scripts, and applications in GoLang to automate tasks and enhance SDLC processes.
3. Managing CI/CD Pipelines: Architect and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions for build, test, and deployment automation, ensuring smooth integration and reproducibility.
4. Monitoring and Optimization: Analyze performance of workflows and tools, implementing improvements to streamline processes.
5. Documentation and Training: Document workflows and tools, and provide training to teams for successful adoption.
6. Emerging Technologies: Stay updated on automation, CI/CD, DevOps, and DevSecOps trends; evaluate and recommend new tools.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in building software pipelines, especially with GitHub Actions
• Experience coding services/utilities in GoLang
• Strong focus on automated testing and TDD practices
