Job summary

Global Payments seeks an experienced Lead Software Engineer to shape our payments platform across front-end and back-end technologies. You will design, code, debug, and validate applications, driving best practices and secure solutions throughout the lifecycle.

Role includes mentoring engineers, guiding architecture, and participating in client and vendor discussions to determine effective approaches. Expect collaboration across teams and a focus on scalable, compliant software systems.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business / MIS or related field.
• Typically minimum of 6 years - Professional Experience In Coding, Designing, Developing And Analyzing Data; experience with APIs and both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Preferred: 8+ years with IBM Rational Tools; proficiency in multiple languages and enterprise programming.
• Knowledge of front-end and back-end technologies and ability to work across platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains moderately complex code across multiple platforms for client software solutions.
• Designs program specifications and supports multiple projects with a broad application/database understanding.
• Participates in client meetings and vendor partnership discussions to determine solution approaches.
• Ensures compliance with standards including PCI security controls and provides guidance to the team.
