Job summary

Xe.com is seeking a Team Lead to own how a squad builds and ships, from architecture to delivery, reliability, and the growth of engineers. You will use AI as part of how you think, build, test, and ship, shaping the team’s approach to agentic coding tools.

You’ll align with product managers, own the squad’s technology roadmap, and drive delivery across services that move money for Xe’s customers. Strong leadership and hands‑on coding are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong backend proficiency in C#/ .NET preferred; other OOP languages welcome (Java, Kotlin, Go, or equivalent).
• Frontend fluency with Vue.js, React, or equivalent.
• Strong system design experience, including distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Production experience with AWS native services (SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Lambda).
• Experience leading, coaching, and growing engineers, including regular 1:1s and interview loops.
• Daily use of agentic coding tools across the SDLC and a stance on AI adoption.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team building and running your squad’s slice of the platform, across services and partner integrations that move money for Xe’s customers.
• Set technical direction and lead the squad’s hands‑on engineering work: architecture, API design, code for the hard parts, design reviews, and production incident response.
• Own engineering delivery for the squad, iterating with the PM on roadmap, sprint plans, timelines, and releases.
• Lead and support engineers as people: mentoring, feedback, and helping them grow and perform, including contributing to interview loops.
• Shape how the team adopts AI tools and raise the bar for how the squad ships with them.
