Job summary

Xe is rebuilding its cross-border payments platform and seeks a senior full-stack engineer who owns real problems end-to-end, shaping API design, frontend experience, and backend services. You will work on money movement and multi-currency features, with production reliability in mind.

You will be part of a small team with direct access to product, design, and compliance, own architecture in your domain, lead design reviews, mentor mid-level engineers, and drive modernization across the stack

Qualifications

• 6 to 10+ years building production web applications.
• Frontend proficiency with Vue.js/React.
• Backend proficiency in C# / .NET.
• SQL and relational databases.
• Writing and maintaining tests.
• Daily use of agentic coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent).
• Production experience on AWS, including deployment, CI/CD, and services like SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Lambda.
• Strong system design and architecture experience, including microservices/event-driven patterns.
• Payments, FX, or regulated-industry experience.
• Track record of technical leadership: mentoring engineers, leading design reviews, and architecture decisions.
• Strong communication and collaboration across engineering, product, and design.

Responsibilities

• Design and own features across the stack that move money and manage multi-currency balances across onboarding, KYC/KYB, payments, FX, and settlements.
• Lead delivery of customer-facing features from interface through to the services behind them.
• Own production health for your domain, including reliability, observability, on-call, and incident response.
• Lead cross-functional delivery with product, design, and compliance from problem framing through launch.
• Lead design reviews, set technical direction for your domain, and mentor mid-level engineers.
• Use agentic coding tools daily across the SDLC, and lead modernization from legacy services into the modern stack alongside architects and team leads.
