You’ll collaborate with product, OR, and data stakeholders, balancing hands-on coding with team enablement. Hybrid work policy applies, with a strong focus on performance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a software engineering team delivering production-grade systems with solver tech.
• Strong fundamentals in system design, distributed systems, APIs, data modelling, testing, and ops excellence.
• Experience building optimisation, scheduling, or decision-support apps with complex constraint reasoning.
• Hands-on programming in Python/Java/C#/C++, able to review and guide code quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a cross-functional team of software engineers and OR/data science specialists.
• Own technical direction and delivery for models that optimise disruption and crew problems.
• Drive architecture for services, APIs, data pipelines, and user workflows at scale.
• Collaborate with product management to shape roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
• Integrate solvers (Gurobi, etc.) and ensure model performance and explainability.
• Establish engineering practices: code reviews, automated tests, CI/CD, release management, incident response.
• Build observability into optimisation services with KPIs and logs.
• Provide hands-on support when needed while enabling the team to deliver.
