Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an Application Owner and Lead Software Engineer for Public Cloud Engineering in Bournemouth. You will own end-to-end operational integrity, including controls, audit readiness, resiliency, and production outcomes, while remaining hands-on in engineering leadership.

You will partner with engineering, platform, risk, and operations to ensure the platform is secure, stable, and scalable, driving remediation to closure and improving overall engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating enterprise software in production with strong operational accountability.
• Ability to lead production applications through controls, resiliency, recovery and remediation.
• Strong cloud-native design patterns, observability, and dependency management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as accountable application owner for Atlas Wholesale Platform and production outcomes.
• Lead audits, control testing, evidence prep, issue responses and remediation commitments.
• Own risk findings lifecycle from intake to closure across teams and vendors.
• Maintain architecture docs, runbooks, data flows, and control narratives.
• Own resiliency and disaster recovery planning, tests, and action closure.
• Define production readiness standards, safe deployments, and rollback strategies.
• Contribute hands-on to design, code reviews, automation, and troubleshooting.
• Build automation to improve operational outcomes and safety.
• Lead architecture reviews, assess security posture and operational viability.
• Promote enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices with validated outputs.
