Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an Application Owner and Lead Software Engineer within Public Cloud Engineering. You will own end-to-end operational integrity, including controls, audit readiness, resiliency, recovery, and production outcomes, while remaining hands-on in engineering leadership.

You will partner with engineering, platform, risk, and operations to ensure the platform is secure, stable, and scalable, driving remediation and engineering excellence across the team.

Qualifications

• Experience owning production applications with strong operational accountability.
• Strong system design fundamentals and cloud-native patterns.
• Hands-on Go-based services and modern CI/CD practices.
• Experience operating workloads on AWS and Kubernetes/EKS in production.
• Infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• SDLC best practices including automated testing and vulnerability management.
• Ability to lead through influence with no direct reports.
• Experience leading the use of AI-assisted software development tools with proper validation.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the accountable application owner for Atlas Wholesale Platform, ensuring production risk controls and operational outcomes.
• Lead audits and control testing activities for the application, including evidence preparation and remediation commitments.
• Own the lifecycle of risk and control findings from intake through remediation and closure.
• Maintain current architecture and runbooks with high-quality documentation.
• Own resiliency and disaster recovery planning, including tests and action closure.
• Define and improve production readiness standards, including release safety and rollback strategy.
• Contribute hands-on to design, code reviews, automation, and complex troubleshooting.
• Build and maintain automation to improve operational outcomes (guardrails, health checks, drift detection).
• Lead architecture and design evaluations with partners and vendors for security and viability.
• Promote enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices with validated outputs.
