Job summary

Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase & Co. within the Wealth Management Investments Trading Team, you are a core technical contributor shaping scalable, secure, and reliable market‑leading technology in an agile setting.

You will design and implement Java-based microservices, work with Kafka, AWS, Kubernetes, and modern tooling, and advance TDD/BDD while guiding AI‑assisted development across the team.

Qualifications

• Experience with the Spring ecosystem and AWS cloud services.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
• Practical knowledge of caching technologies and messaging/streaming systems.
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in CI/CD, DevOps toolchains, and agile delivery.
• Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools with quality controls.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to design, build, and deploy applications aligned with business requirements.
• Develop Java-based microservices using streaming, non-blocking, and reactive paradigms.
• Work with Kafka, IBM MQ, Kubernetes, Redis, and AWS to deliver scalable systems.
• Contribute to domain-driven design and architectural discussions.
• Create technical documentation and APIs (Swagger/OpenAPI) with strong logging and security.
• Participate in API design sessions and select design patterns.
• Engage in code reviews and promote TDD/BDD practices for maintainability.
• Demonstrate scalability and resilience through testing and tooling; drive AI-assisted engineering practices.
