Sanderson is recruiting a Lead Software Engineer for a consultancy role based in the South West. You will design and develop high quality software, lead engineering teams, and drive architecture for scalable, secure services.

Expect hands-on work with Java, Spring Boot, Python and microservices across cloud platforms, with AWS/Azure/GCP exposure and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes. The role requires strong Agile, TDD and DevOps practices, plus a track record of delivering

Job description

I am currently recruiting for a Lead Software Engineer to join a leading consultancy based in the South West. Within this role, the client will be looking for someone who will be responsibile for the design and development of high quality software solutions. In terms of experience, you must have hands on experience with Java, Springboot, Python and Microservices and have a strong proficiency across multiple programming languages

Salary - Up to £75,000

Location - Remote Working

Key Experience

• Extensive experience in full-stack software engineering, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Hands on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Python and Microservices, although a true polyglot is preferred.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile, TDD and DevOps.
• Extensive experience writing well-tested code.
• Good knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with various architecture patterns eg microservices and event-driven.
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to manage and lead engineering teams to success.
• Expertise in designing scalable and secure software architectures
