Job summary

Bradford Council is recruiting an Advanced Practitioner Social Worker to join an Adults with Disabilities Locality Team. You will be an experienced social worker with supervisory experience, supporting the Team Manager Adults with Disabilities to plan and coordinate the team’s work.

You will bring detailed knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation, a strong commitment to human rights, and a person-centred approach that enables service users to participate fully in decisions affecting them.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation.
• Strong commitment to human rights at the heart of social work practice.
• Understanding of UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
• Value-driven practice with emphasis on person-centred decision making.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Management Team across Adults Services to deliver high quality social work to adults and families.
• Assist the team manager in the support and development of the Adults with Disabilities team and wider service.
• Mentor and support new social workers, including ASYE supervision and coaching.
• Contribute to practice development and link activities to performance framework and practice model.
• Operate within departmental policy, procedures, including digital innovation.
