Job summary

KX is seeking a Lead Snowflake Data Engineer in Belfast to own data ingestion and maintain the Medallion stack. This hands-on role involves working closely with senior leadership to enhance how KX utilizes data and AI.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in SQL and Python, as well as a deep understanding of data governance principles. Additional benefits include tailored training and a competitive healthcare package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production experience in an analytics or data engineering context.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining a Platinum-tier semantic layer.
• Experience implementing RBAC, column-level security, dynamic data masking in a cloud data platform.

Responsibilities

• Own data ingestion pipelines and maintain the full Medallion stack.
• Deliver data governance across all Medallion layers.
• Drive the Snowflake capability roadmap and evaluate dynamic tables and streams.
• Manage platform performance, cost, and reliability.
