Job summary

M&G plc is seeking a Lead Data Engineer in London to design and deliver modern, scalable data products on a Snowflake-centric platform. You will lead data engineers in the UK and India, setting engineering standards and ensuring production-ready pipelines that meet governance and security requirements.

You will guide the bridge between data engineering standards and day-to-day delivery, enabling trusted data for investment decisions, client reporting, regulatory submissions and AI use cases.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in data engineering, including a lead role in Asset Management or Financial Services.
• Proven ability to design and deliver data products on Snowflake-based platforms.
• Experience building scalable, governed data pipelines and data products for analytics and AI.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on design and build of ingestion, transformation and data provisioning pipelines.
• Drive data quality, lineage, cataloguing and observability across pipelines.
• Mentor data engineers across locations, aligning standards and ways of working.
• Collaborate with Data Product, Analytics and AI teams to implement semantic models.
