Job summary

M&G is modernising data platforms to support investment decisions and AI use cases. As Lead Data Engineer you will design and build on a Snowflake-centric platform, linking London and offshore teams to deliver scalable, governed data products.

You will mentor data engineers, establish standards for ELT, DataOps and observability, and ensure secure, auditable pipelines from raw data to consumption. This hands-on leadership role shapes the data architecture and accelerates business value.

Qualifications

• Extensive data engineering experience with prior technical lead roles in asset management or financial services.
• Hands-on expertise building and optimizing Snowflake-based data pipelines and data products.
• Strong knowledge of medallion/lakehouse architecture, ELT, and dimensional data modelling.

Responsibilities

• Design and build on a modern data platform.
• Lead ingestion, transformation and data provisioning pipelines on a Snowflake-centric platform.
• Apply medallion architecture to promote data from raw to curated to consumption-ready layers.
• Translate business and data product requirements into robust technical designs and delivery plans.
• Lead and develop data engineers across the UK and India.
