Job summary

Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust is seeking a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapy Lead for a part-time, job-share post. The role supports stroke rehabilitation in the community, with leadership and supervision of the SLT team, and flexible working options aligned to home addresses in Pershore or Bromsgrove.

You will supervise, develop and coach SLTs, contribute to service development and handle complex cases with a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
• CPD activities and specialist short courses relevant to stroke SLT.
• Membership of professional bodies and groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic assessment and evidence-based rehabilitation to stroke survivors.
• Develop and evaluate SLT practice within the service.
• Act as a source of expertise on stroke patient management.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with legal requirements and Trust guidelines.
• Demonstrate high level SLT stroke skills and supervise others.

Education

Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree or equivalent

Health Professions Council - Licence to Practice

Registered Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapist

Membership of relevant Special Interest Groups

Evidence of CPD activities and specialist short courses
