Job summary

Think Recruitment is seeking an experienced Temporary Site Manager to oversee a social housing kitchen and bathroom refurbishment scheme in Cheltenham. You will manage day-to-day on-site operations, coordinate trades and ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard.

The role demands strong organisation, health and safety compliance, and clear communication with the Principal Contractor and stakeholders. Start date 12th October 2026, six-month assignment, rate £250 per day.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Manager/Site Supervisor in social housing refurbishment.
• Experience overseeing kitchen and bathroom programmes.
• Confident liaising with Principal Contractors.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and site compliance.
• SMSTS - essential.
• First Aid at Work - essential.
• CSCS Card - essential.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Organising and managing trades on site.
• Liaising with Principal Contractor and project stakeholders.
• Managing day-to-day progress of kitchen and bathroom installations.
• Carrying out inspections, snagging and ensuring defects are resolved.
• Monitoring material requirements and restocking as required.
• Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with Health & Safety.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised site.
• Providing regular progress updates and highlighting issues or delays.
