Job summary

DARA People is seeking a Site Manager for a specialist civil engineering project in Wymondham. The role focuses on managing daily site operations, safety, and adherence to the programme on a deep excavation and shoring project featuring ductile iron pipework.

The ideal candidate will have a valid Black CSCS card, Temporary Works Supervisor qualification, and a track record in civil engineering site management. Immediate start on a contract basis with a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Valid Black CSCS Card.
• Temporary Works Supervisor qualification.
• Valid three-day First Aid at Work certificate.
• Previous Site Manager experience within civil engineering or utilities.
• Strong experience of deep excavations and temporary shoring systems.
• Knowledge of ductile iron push-fit and flanged pipework.
• Good understanding of construction health and safety requirements.
• Strong communication and site coordination skills.
• @One Passport to Work is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily site activities.
• Supervise deep excavation and shoring works.
• Oversee the installation of ductile iron pipework.
• Coordinate site operatives, subcontractors and deliveries.
• Ensure temporary works procedures are followed.
• Maintain health and safety standards across the site.
• Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks and inductions.
• Monitor progress against the construction programme.
• Complete site records, permits and daily reports.
• Liaise with the project team regarding progress and site issues.
