Job summary

Wentworth is seeking a Site Technician to carry out investigations on our projects, focusing on GPR scanning and related surveys. You will support field teams and coordinate activities to keep work progressing safely and to the client’s satisfaction.

You will analyse data, prepare technical reports, mentor apprentices, log information, and ensure RAMS and drawings are properly filed. The role requires strong interpretation of drawings and a proactive approach to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in a Site Technician or Site Investigation role.
• Proven experience supervising site investigation, geotechnical or environmental works.
• Strong understanding of site investigation techniques, sampling and testing procedures.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and site investigation scopes.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site investigations including GPR scanning and related surveys.
• Supervise technicians and coordinate project activities.
• Analyse data and prepare technical reports.
• Ensure quality and safety on all projects.
• Train apprentices or graduates.
• Log project information and RAMS and ensure documents are filed.
• Liaise with Project Manager to allocate labour and equipment.
• Monitor progress and report status to management.
• Ensure test engineers work safely and reports are checked and sent to clients.
• Produce case studies and marketing material for projects.
• Review site procedures and ensure best practice.
• Provide feedback on team performance.
