Job summary

Hello Recruitment Associates in Welwyn Garden City is seeking a Site Technician for a growing civil engineering business. The role involves carrying out a wide range of structural investigations and testing on-site, ensuring accurate data collection and compliant site operations.

You will perform GPR, Schmidt hammer tests, coring and other testing procedures, maintain equipment, and work with engineers and site managers. A full UK driving license and willingness to travel overnight are preferred.

Job Purpose:

The Technician role involves conducting a wide range of structural investigations and testing procedures to support client projects. Technicians ensure accurate data collection and contribute to the smooth execution of site operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform testing and investigations, including Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), coring, and Schmidt hammer tests.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations on-site.
• Collaborate with engineers and site managers to achieve project goals.
• Record and report field data for further analysis.
• Mentor Trainee Technicians where applicable.

This role is very much open to an enthusiastic person most likely from a construction background who is open to a new opportunity. The salary range is £28000 to £30000 for this immediate start.
