Job summary

Intersurgical is seeking a Lead Shift Production Support Engineer to join our UK medical manufacturing operation. Based at our Head Office in Wokingham with site duties across London & South East England, you will lead a rotating shift team delivering primary engineering support across the site.

The role involves hands-on fault finding, PPM, installations and machine changeovers, ensuring safety and minimizing downtime while helping meet operational targets.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship completed.
• Experience of automated production environment.
• Machine setting experience.
• Previous team leading experience.
• Strong engineering background electrical and mechanical.
• Strong health and safety knowledge.
• Strong relationship building qualities.
• Understanding of working in a controlled environment.
• Ability to manage downtime and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers on a rotating shift to provide primary site engineering support.
• Fault finding and breakdown support to minimize downtime.
• Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and installations.
• Perform circuitry upgrades and machine changeovers as required.
• Ensure engineering works are carried out safely and efficiently.
• Support achievement of operational targets.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Shift Production Support Engineer to join our thriving UK medical manufacturing company to work within our expanding Engineering Department.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated candidate to lead a team of engineers working on a rotating shift pattern, providing primary engineering support across the site. This is a hands‑on role involving fault finding, Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), installations, circuitry upgrades, breakdown support and machine changeovers as required.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring engineering works are completed safely and efficiently, keeping machine downtime to a minimum and supporting the achievements of operational targets.
