Job summary

NewCold Corby is seeking a VAL Shift Manager to lead the Pick Floor, Mixing, Manual Detop and Auto Detop operations. You will report to the Senior Stock Control Manager UK and ensure safe, efficient delivery of activities while maintaining excellent service for customers.

The role requires hands-on leadership, balancing operational performance with people management in a fast-paced site. You will coach teams, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement to support growth and customer

Qualifications

• Proven experience in operational leadership or supervisory roles in warehouse/logistics.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Proven ability to build and manage customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across Pick Floor, Mixing, Manual Detop and Auto Detop.
• Manage Team Leaders and staff, ensuring clear direction and high standards.
• Deliver safe, efficient, and timely service to customers.
• Plan labour and shift coverage to meet demand and reduce disruption.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost efficiency.
• Support customer visits, audits and business reviews as required.
